In comparison, the GST collections for December 2024 amounted to Rs 1.76 lakh crore, reflecting a 7.3% growth compared to Rs 1.66 lakh crore in December 2023. However, December’s collections saw a 2.97% dip from the previous month, reaching a three-month low.
To provide context, GST collections for the months of September, October, and November 2024 were Rs 1.73 lakh crore, Rs 1.87 lakh crore, and Rs 1.82 lakh crore, respectively. Year-to-date (YTD) GST collections have reached Rs 16.34 lakh crore, showing a 9.1% increase compared to the same period last year. However, these collections are still 18.98% below the total projected for the fiscal year 2024.
