Hamas Calls October 7 ‘Preemptive Strike’, IDF Strikes Lebanon Amid Houthi, Hezbollah Fire at Israel

Israel’s military said air defences intercepted a missile fired from Yemen during the anniversary of the October 7 Hamas attacks. Sirens sounded across central Israel as the surface-to-surface missile was shot down with the Arrow long-range missile defence system. The IDF* said it struck more than 120 Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon within a 60-minute period as part of extensive strikes. The targets belonged to Hezbollah’s elite Radwan forces and other units, the IDF said. Meanwhile, Hezbollah released a video titled “We are Radwan, whoever wants fight,come forward.” Israel’s Iron Dome defence system was seen launching anti-ballistic missiles from Haifa Bay amid Hezbollah rocket fire on October 7.
