Diwali holds great significance in Hinduism, symbolising Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya with Goddess Sita and Lord Lakshman after 14 years of exile and his victory over Raavan, the King of Lanka. The festival showcases the rich cultural heritage of the country and is celebrated by communities worldwide.

Another popular belief surrounding Diwali comes from the Dvapara Yuga, where Lord Krishna, an avatar of Lord Vishnu, defeated the demon Narakasura, the tyrant king of Pragjyotishapura, and rescued 16,000 women he had imprisoned. This victory is celebrated as a symbol of good triumphing over evil.
