⦁ Women should not get angry even by mistake during the Hartalika Teej fast. If they do so, their fast will be considered incomplete.

⦁ During Hartalika Teej, women should avoid negative thoughts and refrain from harboring ill feelings or speaking negatively about anyone, even unintentionally.

⦁ Hartalika Teej fast is very difficult. This is a Nirjala fast. That is, women who keep the fast cannot even consume water on this day. If a woman drinks water, the fast is broken.
⦁ Along with this, one should avoid black colour on this day and should not wear black bangles and clothes.
⦁ On this day, the women of the house should not insult the elders even by mistake; rather, they should touch their feet and take a vow to fast.
