Kanwar Dhillon, who is seen in the popular TV show Udne Ki Aasha, shared his memories related to the festival of colours. While the actor is open to playing Holi, he emphasised that he exercises a lot of caution. Kanwar takes a more measured approach to the celebrations and he recalled an unpleasant past incident in which he developed severe rashes and allergies during the festival.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Kanwar Dhillon stated that his concerns regarding Holi celebration stem from past experiences. He stated, “Years ago, a poor-quality color caused severe rashes and allergies on my face. Since then, I have become extremely cautious. I don’t let people apply color on my face unless it’s eco-friendly. Even during shoots, I ensure production uses only safe, eco-friendly colors.”
However, Kanwar enjoyed the festival a lot in his childhood with friends. He recalled living on the ground floor near the building’s boundary wall. He shared that he and his friends would aim for buses and rickshaws from far away. But he added, “While I wouldn’t encourage such things today, those were fun, carefree days.”
Speaking about how to be mindful during Holi, Kanwar stated, “I make sure to wear something I wouldn’t mind getting damaged because I hate seeing white outfits ruined during Holi.” He also believes in preserving water and is opposed to wasting it through rain showers and other such activities.
Kanwar Dhillon feels Holi is about vibrancy and tradition, as well as responsible celebration. He also mentioned that he enjoys indulging in thandai, samosas, puri aloo, and kheer, made by his mother on the festival day. “It’s something my family and I look forward to every year,” he added.
Kanwar Dhillon stars in Udne Ki Aasha opposite Neha Harsora. Neha plays Sailee, while Kanwar plays Sachin. Fans admire their connection and banter on film. In addition to Neha and Kanwar, Udne Ki Aasha features Sanjay Narvekar, Puru Chibber, Tanvi Shewale and Devashish Chandiramani in key roles.
Udne Ki Aasha revolves around a Marathi family and tells the story of Sailee and Sachin, whose love is tested by family tensions and personal tragedies. The plot took an unusual turn when Sachin and Sailee fell in love, despite their varied origins.
