A pitch in Shark Tank India 4’s latest episode saw many unexpected turns with Anupam Mittal and Vineeta Singh refusing to offer a deal despite being thoroughly impressed. A Hyderabad-based health and wellness brand won over the sharks with their product. During the discussion, Anupam Mittal even said, “Humari Kursi Le Lo.” However, Mittal refused to make a deal with the entrepreneurs. Let’s find out what made Anupam and Vineeta say, “We are out.”

The health and wellness company based in Hyderabad focused on treating long-term ailments such as obesity and diabetes. Their product Sugar Slayer was intended to lower blood sugar levels, while Calorie Crusher, their flagship product aided in reducing the amount of carbohydrates consumed in meals. The pitchers looked confident and grabbed the shark’s interest with their presentation.

A co-founder talked about his experience launching companies, making them profitable, and then successfully selling them. Mittal joked after hearing the outstanding numbers, saying, “Yaha kyun aaye ho? Le lo yaar humari kursi.” (What brought you here? Please take our seats.)

Later, one of the pitchers, who was a doctor impressed Anupama and Vineeta as she revealed her qualifications and the companies she has worked for. This led Anupam Mittal to say “That’s it?” and Vineeta Singh, “Bas, we are sold!” with folded hands.

The pitchers described their safety precautions, development process, and product operation. However, Mittal wanted safety assurance before offering any deal to them and the pitcher’s response about the market’s current choices disappointed the sharks.

Anupam Mittal told the entrepreneurs to market their product as a weight management tool rather than a cure for weight loss. He refused to offer a deal while advising them to carry out independent research without funding. Shark Peyush Bansal was also concerned and backed out saying, “I’m not sure if I can carry that risk.”

The first Shark to make a bid was Aman Gupta. Although he knew the loopholes but still showed faith in the pitchers’ skill, saying, “Spiderman bhi leta hai, par risk toh risk hai. Toh phir bhi Tigerman hoon main toh. Banta hai mere liye danger lena. (Risk exists, but even Spider-Man takes chances. My name is Tigerman. I enjoy taking chances.).”

Meanwhile, Kunal Bahl was also impressed with the product and joined Aman to offer a deal with the pitchers for Rs 1 crore in exchange for 5% equity.
