Hudson Helicopter Crash: Horrific visuals show the aircraft spinning in the air moments before it crashed into the Hudson River near the New Jersey coastline at Pier A Park in Hoboken, killing all six onboard. The victims include Agustín Escobar, the president and CEO of Siemens in Spain, his wife and their three children, and the pilot.
Several social media users have shared the visuals of the accident, which the US President termed horrendous. The videos show the helicopter losing control. It can be seen spinning wildly in the air before it crashes into the Hudson River. Several people can also be seen standing on the walkway over the river as the helicopter whirls through the air before crashing.
The accident reportedly took place at 3:17 p.m. (US local time). The officials reached the spot after receiving 911 calls. While four of the victims were declared on the spot, two children were rushed to a local hospital, where doctors declared them dead.

Trump too took to his social media platform, Truth Social, and posted, “Terrible helicopter crash in the Hudson River. Looks like six people, the pilot, two adults, and three children, are no longer with us. The footage of the accident is horrendous. God bless the families and friends of the victims. Secretary of Transportation, Sean Duffy, and his talented staff are on it. Announcements as to exactly what took place, and how, will be made shortly!”

FlightRadar24 identified the helicopter as Bell 206L-4 LongRanger IV, built in 2004.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams informed about the accident and expressed condolences during a news conference on Thursday. “Our hearts go out to the family of those who were on board,” he said.
