Subscribers say they are unable to stream their favorite shows and videos, while some cannot log into the website or app.
An outage map shows major cities, including New York City, Los Angeles, Tampa and Chicago, are in the red.
Hulu has nearly 54 million paying subscribers in the US, but it is unclear how many are struggling to access the platform.
Users report seeing an error message: ‘We’re having trouble loading this right now. Check your internet connection and try again.’
Some subscribers have called for refunds amid the outage.
‘Why are you down again? Hulu is a lot of money. Are we getting reimbursed?’ on user shared on X.

Hulu’s support page replied, saying that the team is looking into the issue.
‘We’re currently investigating this behavior with a high priority, and we hope to have a fix in place soon,’ the support team shared on X.
Some subscribers are being met with an ‘Error playing video message.’
‘We encountered an error playing this video. Please try restarting the video or select something else to watch,’ the alert reads.
Approximately 67 percent of problems reported to Downdetector cited issues with video streaming. The rest cited problems with the website and app.
