Brazil suffered an embarrassing defeat at the hands of arch-rivals Argentina at the El Mounmental in a 4-1 hammering by the Albiceleste recently, which has turned up the heat on current coach Dorival Jr. Amid the repercussions of the heavy defeat Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, who is touted to be the frontrunner for the Brazil national team head coach role, shut out rumours linking him to the Selecao, stating that there was no contact from the CBF and that he has a contract with the Spanish club.

“I don’t remember speaking to Ronaldo about this,” Ancelotti said.

“My contract is clear, I have nothing more to add. I have great affection for the Brazil National Team, their players and their fans, but I have a contract with Real Madrid,” the Italian added.

“No, they simply have not,” he added.

UEFA opened an investigation into Madrid stars Antonio Rudiger, Kylian Mbappe and Dani Ceballos over their celevrations against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League encounter between the sides, which ended up breaking the way of Real on penalties. With Real lined up to take on Premier League side Arsenal in their subsequent round of the elite European tournament, a sanction could prove to be costly for the Spanish capital city unit.

“We trust UEFA, let them investigate it,” the 65-year-old said.

“We believe everything was in order, the players celebrated. We’ll wait to see what they have to say, we trust everything will work out fine,” he added.

Ancelotti was also involved in a heated exchange with La Liga President Javier Tebas over the scheduling of fixtures at a breakneck pace, and the Italian added that Tebas should turn his attention to things that concern him while also highlighting the disrespect the La Liga chief presumably demonstrated towards clubs and coaches.

“I was aware of his obsession with Real Madrid, but I wasn’t aware he wanted to be a coach. As I’ve said in the past, he should focus on his own things. He’s lacking a bit of respect for Real Madrid and for the coaches,’ said Ancelotti.
