A former high-rank official of Council on American–Islamic Relations (CAIR) was caught on camera as she passed anti-semitic remarks and assaulted a Jewish man in New York City.
The woman, identified as Noora Shalash who reportedly worked with the CAIR, Kentucky was seen bad-mouthing Jewish men and calling for the “ISIS” to “kill” them.
The incident is said to have taken place on February 6. In the video, Shalash was seen chasing a Jewish man and stopping him from using a life inside a Manhattan building, prompting another another Jewish man to intervene.
As she engaged with one of them in a heated argument, she was recorded on camera as saying, “I demand Jihad, I want ISIS to kill all of you.” The woman also accused the Jew community to insult Jesus.
Racism Is Wrong, No Matter The Source: CAIR Condemns Woman’s Act
Soon after the video went viral, the CAIR National claimed that the woman “has not worked with our CAIR-KY chapter in five years.”

Taking to X, the CAIR National wrote, “This is a lie. This person has not worked with our CAIR-KY chapter in five years. She has no role at our civil rights group.”
A grassroots civil rights and advocacy organization, CAIR condemned the racism and expressed solidarity against any sort of discrimination on religious grounds.
“We condemn and reject the antisemitic comments in the video, just as we condemn and reject anti-Palestinian racism and anti-Muslim hate you regularly spew. Racism is wrong, no matter the source or the target,” it added.
Notably, CAIR is America’s largest Muslim civil liberties organization, with affiliate offices nationwide. Its national headquarters is located on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
As per CAIR website, “Since its establishment in 1994, CAIR has worked to promote a positive image of Islam and Muslims in America. Through media relations, lobbying, education and advocacy, CAIR works to make sure a Muslim voice is represented. Through our work, CAIR seeks to empower American Muslims and encourage their participation in political and social activism.”
However, in 2020, the CAIR had shared a post calling Shalash the Director of Government Affairs for the Council.
