India has already sealed the ongoing ODI series against England with back-to-back victories. The hosts won both the previous games by four wickets to take an unassailable lead in the three-match affair. England will look to avoid a whitewash with a comeback win in the third ODI, set to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on February 12.

Rohit Sharma emerged as the standout player in the previous game where England batted first and set a daunting target of 305. The Indian captain who had been going through a lean patch announced his comeback with a blistering century. He whacked as many as 12 boundaries and seven sixes to score 119 off 90 balls.

Among the other batters, Shubman Gill contributed with a 60-run knock while Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel added 44 and 41 runs respectively to the score. Powered by their efforts, India completed the chase in the 45th over to win the last ODI series ahead of the Champions Trophy. It marks England’s seventh consecutive series defeat to India in the 50-over format.

Ahmedabad Weather Forecast:

Rain is unlikely to cause any interruptions during the third ODI game. Skies will remain mostly clear on February 12, with a maximum temperature of 31 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature dropping to as low as 15 degrees Celcius. The wind speed is expected to be around 8-13 kmph while the humidity level should not exceed 50 percent.
