The high-voltage match between the two archrivals is scheduled to take place at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai and will start at 10:30 am IST. Mohamed Amaan is leading India in the eight-team tournament, and the team picked for the 10-day-long tournament in the UAE includes the likes of Mumbai batter Ayush Mhatre and 13-year-old Bihar batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
Vaibhav, who is a top-order batter, made headlines on Monday (November 25) when he secured a deal worth Rs 1.10 crore from the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2025 mega auction, which took place across two days in Jeddah. Suryavanshi, who has impressed with his performances for India U-19 in the past, is the youngest player in IPL history to earn a contract.
After grabbing headlines in the mega auction, the batter will be desperate to come up with a big show on Saturday and live up to the expectations. India will also have high hopes from Mhatre, who has impressed with his performances in red-ball cricket for Mumbai.
On the other hand, wicketkeeper-batter Saad Baig will lead the Boys in Green. Like India, Pakistan will also play its first match of the tournament on Saturday and would like to come up with a big show and get the campaign off to a flying start.
