Megan Schutt was the star performer with the ball for the hosts as she finished with bowling figures of 5/19 from 6.2 overs. Kim Garth, Ashleigh Gardner, Annabel Sutherland and Alana King also took a wicket each.
For India, Rodrigues was the top-scorer with 23 off 42 while the next best was 17 from captain Harmanpreet. India though were impressive with the ball as Renuka Thakur took three wickets while Priya Mishra two but they will hope their batters contribute more with the bat as they fight to keep the three-match ODI series alive.
