Indian Railways To Launch 7-Star Hotel On The Wheels With Spa And Gym; Check Rates, Route

The Golden Chariot Luxury Train is ready to hit the tracks once again, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka. The train will operate on select dates from December to March

A five-night, six-day journey on this luxury train will cost Rs 4,00,530 plus 5% GST, which includes accommodation, food, alcohol, entry tickets, guides, and more. (News18 Hindi)

Can you imagine enjoying a spa or working out in a gym on a train journey? Sounds fun and surprising, right? In a significant move, the Indian Railways and IRCTC are set to run a 7-star hotel on wheels. This luxury train will offer facilities such as a spa, gym, and even a wine or beer corner.

The train will operate on select dates from December to March, with bookings already open. The entire journey lasts five nights and six days.

The Golden Chariot Luxury Train is ready to hit the tracks once again, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka. It will depart on December 14. The train has 13 double-bed cabins, 26 twin-bed cabins, and one cabin for differently-abled (Divyang) guests, accommodating a total of 80 passengers in 40 cabins.

All luxurious cabins are equipped with air-conditioning and Wi-Fi, providing passengers with a royal experience. Each cabin features padded furniture, luxurious bathrooms, comfortable beds, and TVs offering access to numerous OTT platforms. The train also includes a saloon for added comfort.

Special arrangements for Indian and international cuisine are available on board. It boasts two exceptional restaurants, Ruchi and Nalapak, offering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes served in international crockery and cutlery. Branded wine, beer, and liquor are available at the bar.

For the health and comfort of passengers, the Golden Chariot train also has the Arogya Spa, offering various treatments, including spa therapies. Additionally, there is a hi-tech gym. To ensure the safety of guests, the entire train is equipped with CCTV cameras and a fire alarm system.

Gems of the South: Starting from Bengaluru to Mysore, Kanchipuram, Mahabalipuram, Thanjavur, Chettinad, Cochin, Cherthala and back to Bengaluru.
