iOS 26 public beta is confirmed to release in July
iOS 26 update timelines are moving quickly and in July we will see the iOS 26 public beta made available for iPhone users. The developer beta has given us a good idea about what Apple plans to offer with the new version, which includes the Liquid glass interface.
These beta updates have raised concerns primarily because of how buggy the apps and features are but that is always going to happen when these versions are solely meant for testing purposes. So, if you want a more polished update, the iOS 26 public beta is the one worth waiting for and it is coming in the next few days/weeks.

iOS 26 Public Beta: What New Features Expected
Apple faced a lot of criticism with the Liquid Glass UI with the developer beta 1 update and the new version fixes those on the Control Centre and the overall layout. You don’t see the tabs overlapping with the glass interface which gives it a cleaner and readable finish.
The iOS 26 public will get a new Alt 1 ringtone. You can set it up from the Settings – Sounds and Haptics and tapping on the ringtone to change the tune for your calls.
Apple is finally letting iPhone users know the exact purpose of the low power mode and what all features are affected when you turn it on. The company’s note says background activities, processing speed, display refresh rate and even the iCloud syncing support are reduced.
Live captions have been available for a while but Apple is now making sure that the caller is informed when the feature is activated for a call. And yes, a new privacy feature could be rolling out for FaceTime users.
