IPL 2025 Points Table, Orange Cap and Purple Cap after DC vs KKR: Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders beat Delhi Capitals by 14 runs in their 10th league match of the ongoing IPL 2025 season. In the match played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday, April 29, KKR, after being invited to bat first by Axar Patel, posted a total of 204 runs on the board for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs and then restricted the hosts to 190 for 9 in 20 overs.
For KKR, Sunil Narine finished with figures of 3 for 29 in four overs, and two DC batters were sent back to the pavilion by Varun Chakaravarthy.
Despite the win in Delhi, KKR remain 7th in the league table, but now they have nine points to their credit, whereas DC remain fourth with 12 points after 10 matches.

Orange Cap
KL Rahul came out to bat at No. 4 for Delhi Capitals in the 205-run chase against Kolkata Knight Riders and scored 7 runs from five balls. Rahul’s first single-digit score of the ongoing season helped him extend his tally of runs to 371 in nine matches of IPL 2025, and he remains at the ninth position on the list of leading run getters in IPL 2025.
GT’s Sai Sudharsan (456 runs) leads the Orange Cap race in the ongoing 2025 edition of the world’s richest franchise cricket league and is followed by RCB’s Virat Kohli, who, with the help of six half-centuries, has scored 443 runs in 10 matches. India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav is third on the list with 427 runs to his name in 10 matches for the Mumbai Indians, and he is followed by RR’s Yashasvi Jaiswal (426 runs) and GT’s Jos Buttler (406 runs).
For KKR, captain Ajinkya Rahane scored 26 runs from 14 balls after DC captain Axar Patel invited the defending champions to bat first at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Rahane’s 26-run knock takes his tally of runs to 297 in IPL 2025, and he is 12th on the list of leading run scorers.

Purple Cap
Mitchell Starc was on fire for Delhi Capitals on Tuesday. The star left-arm pacer from Australia dismissed three KKR batters for 43 runs in his quota of four overs. The figures of 3/43 helped Starc extend his tally of wickets to 14 in IPL 2025, and he now takes fourth position in the Purple Cap leaderboard. Apart from him, Axar Patel and Viparaj Nigam also got rid of two KKR batters each.
RCB’s Josh Hazlewood continues to lead the leading wicket-takers list. In 10 matches for RCB he has dismissed 18 batters. Hazlewood is followed by GT pacer Prasidh Krishna (16 wickets) and CSK’s Noor Ahmad (14 wickets).
