IPL 2025 Points Table, Orange Cap and Purple Cap after SRH vs PBKS: Sunrisers Hyderabad rise to the No. 8 position in the points table after securing an eight-wicket win over PBKS by chasing down the 246-run target in 18.3 overs.

IPL 2025 Points Table, Orange Cap and Purple Cap after SRH vs PBKS: Abhishek Sharma scored 141 runs from 55 balls on Saturday (April 12) and added 171 runs for the first wicket with Travis Head (66 from 37 balls) to help Sunrisers Hyderabad chase down the target of 246 runs in 18.3 overs against Punjab Kings and win the IPL 2025 match played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad by 8 wickets.

The second win of the ongoing season helped SRH rise from No. 10 to 8th position in the points table, whereas after losing the second match out of the five played so far, PBKS are now in 6th position.

Axar Patel-led Delhi Capitals sit at the top of the points table after Lucknow Super Giants beat Gujarat Titans by 6 wickets in the IPL 2025 match played at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Saturday afternoon.

GT are in 2nd place with 8 points from six matches, and LSG rise to third place with 8 points from six matches.

Five-time champions Mumbai Indians sit at 9th place, and Chennai Super Kings are in the last place now.

Orange Cap

Shreyas Iyer scored 82 runs from 36 balls for Punjab Kings on Saturday, and his third fifty of the ongoing season helped him rise to the No. 4 position in the list of leading run scorers in IPL 2025. He has 250 runs to his name in five matches played so far. SRH opening after Travis Head, after playing a knock of 66 runs from 37 balls, is back in the top 10. He sits at the No. 6 position with 214 runs to his name in six matches.

LSG wicketkeeper-batter Nicholas Pooran continues to lead the Orange Cap race. He scored 61 runs from 34 balls for the Rishabh Pant-led side against GT on Saturday afternoon and extended his tally of runs to 349 in six matches.

Gujarat Titans batter Sai Sudharsan is in 2nd place with 329 runs to his name. The left-handed batter from Tamil Nadu scored 56 runs from 37 balls for the Shubman Gill-led side against LSG.

Sudharsan’s GT teammate Jos Buttler is in 5th place with 218 runs, Gill is in 7th place with 208 runs, and LSG’s Aiden Markram is in 9th place after scoring 53 from 38 balls in Lucknow.

Purple Cap

Shardul Thakur finished with figures of 2 for 34 in four overs for LSG on Sunday afternoon against GT, and his bowling performance helped him rise to the No. 2 position in the list of leading wicket-takers. He has 11 wickets to his name in six matches of IPL 2025. Prasidh Krishna also picked up two wickets for 26 runs in four overs for GT in the match which the Shubman Gill-led side lost by six wickets, and he is now third on the list of leading wicket-takers. In six matches played so far for GT this year, Prasidh has 10 wickets to his name.

R Sai Kishore and Mohammed Siraj remained wicketless for GT on Saturday, and they now sit at the No. 4 and 5 positions, respectively, with 10 wickets each to their names.

In the SRH-PBKS match, Harshal Patel picked up 4 wickets for 42 runs in four overs, and with a total of 8 wickets to his name in the IPL this year, he has moved to the No. 13 position in the Purple Cap race.
