Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has thanked President Donald Trump for his unwavering support in a national address celebrating strikes on Iran which ‘took out top Revolutionary Guard generals.’
Israel attacked Iran’s capital early Friday, with explosions booming across Tehran amid reports nuclear and military sites were targeted.
Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Commander Hossein Salami was killed in the strikes, Israeli military leaders reported on Thursday evening.
The attack comes as tensions have reached new heights over Tehran’s rapidly advancing nuclear program.
Netanyahu addressed Trump in his address to the nation shortly after the attack, saying: ‘He has made clear time and again that Iran cannot have a nuclear enrichment program.
‘Today, it is clear that Iran was just buying for time.’
