Fashion enthusiasts often experiment with various beard styles, choosing the ones they feel suit them best. While many prefer a clean-shaven look, others style their beards according to their body type and profession.

However, he warns that if the beard is long, it should be washed and cleaned thoroughly every day.
Throughout the day, dust, germs, oil, and dead skin cells accumulate on the face. Therefore, it is essential to wash both ones face as well as beard with a suitable face wash or cleanser. Neglecting to clean ones beard daily can lead to infections, clog skin pores, and cause irritation.
In response to the question whether shaving daily may pose a risk to skin health, the dermatologist said that there is no harm in it. However, he warned that one should shave with caution by using the right trimmer or razor.
For those who do not shave for a month or two, he said that they should clean their beards properly. It is very important to wash and moisturize the face and beard thoroughly every day, he said adding that people should use the right soap, face wash or cleanser according to their skin type.
According to the doctor, shaving the beard once a week can be considered the most beneficial, as it reduces the risk of skin damage. It is people’s choice whether they want to shave their beard daily or want to keep it.
Those with sensitive skin should consult a dermatologist if they experience irritation after shaving their beard. Not choosing the right shaving cream or gel can also have a negative effect on the skin. If the method of shaving is not correct, then there may be risk of cuts on one’s delicate skin. Hence, people are advised to be careful in such a situation.
