Hulu’s The Kardashians returns with its sixth season with quite the shocking return of Khloe Kardashian’s ex-husband Lamar Odom.
Khloe, 40, and Odom, 45, tied the knot back in September 2009, just one month after first meeting at a party for his then-Los Angeles Lakers teammate Ron Artest.
Their wedding was featured in Keeping Up With the Kardashians and they even had their own spin-off Khloe & Lamar that ran for two seasons.
Khloe filed for divorce in December 2013, just months after Lamar’s DUI arrest, with the divorce papers signed in July 2015, though they never got final approval.
A few months later, Odom was found unconscious at the Love Ranch in Nevada and became comatose and was on life support, with Khloe withdrawing the divorce petition to help assist in his recovery.
She filed for divorce again in May 2016, and it was finalized that December, which made it more surprising to fans that he was mentioned in the Season 6 premiere.

Khloe went to visit her best friend Malika Haqq towards the start of the episode, with Malika mentioning she ran into Lamar at the Super Bowl.
Khloe ultimately mentioned that she found some of his things that she’d like to return to him like his 6th Man of the Year award, which lead to Malika facilitating a reunion.
She also recalled putting his things in storage so he could take them to his new home when he got on his feet, though Lamar told her to give the storage unit keys to his best friend… who proceeded to sell everything in the unit.
Malika ultimately set it up and Lamar arrived bearing flowers, a cake and champagne… though he was also clearly quite nervous and sweaty.
Lamar tried to sit close to Khloe, but she immediately said, ‘You’re going to sit this close? How are we going to talk to each other?’Â
He immediately scooted over as Malika brought him some water while Khloe said she’s, ‘Not gonna do or say anything that’s scary.’
Lamar joked where his ‘brother’ Rob Kardashian was, thinking that perhaps he and Malika would have hooked up by then, but Khloe said she still ‘has hope.’
Khloe asked again why he’s so nervous and he said, ‘I haven’t seen you in so long, you make me nervous,’ as Khloe playfully prodded him for being ’52 minutes late.’

Lamar joked where his ‘brother’ Rob Kardashian was, thinking that perhaps he and Malika would have hooked up by then, but Khloe said she still ‘has hope’
‘Just in this first glance of seeing Lamar, I feel a little bit of “God this is so familiar,” and so uncharted at the same time. I don’t know this person anymore. It’s just such a mindf**k.’
Khloe asks yet again what he’s so nervous about and he says, ‘I don’t know Khloe. How long’s it been?’
She said the last time she saw him she was leaving for Vegas and ‘kicking you out of the Calabasas house’ in the year 2016.
When she asked Lamar what he’s doing now he said, ‘Little bit of this, little bit of that, hustle man,’ as an awkward silence follows.
Khloe mentions in her confession that he’s, ‘visibly uncomfortable, he’s nervous, he’s sweating… he just seems scared, and I don’t want to make anyone that uncomfortable, it’s just making me more uncomfortable too.’
She presents him with a diamond chain of his with three angel wings – one for his mother, one for his grandmother and one for his son, who died in 2006 when he was just six months old from sudden infant death syndrome.
She also presents him with his mother’s driver’s license, plus a trunk full of his belongings and his coveted 6th Man Award.Â
He makes things awkward briefly again when he jokes that, ‘My wife is the s**t,’ as Khloe tells him to ‘calm down.’Â
She adds in confession, ‘I have dealt with so much trauma in this relationship and this was such the love of my life, to learn how to unlove someone to have to go through that, it’s almost like a death. So him calling me his wife, I mean, words are empty.’

‘When it was great, it was spectacular. When it was bad, it was horrific. We went full throttle,’ she admitted.
Lamar says it feels like an out-of body experience for him before admitting to her, ‘I took you through a lot, huh,’ as she says it wasn’t the easiest time.’
‘I f***ed up… with you. I love you for trying your hardest with me and that love I don’t think will ever go away. I know it won’t,’ he said, as the episode ends with a ‘To Be Continued’ tag.
The preview for next week’s episode teases that Khloe and Lamar do get into a bit of an argument, while Kris is seen crying over Khloe in confession.
