Mbappe recently disclosed that he would love to have played alongside Ronaldo, however, added that the chances for the same are slim.
FIFA World Cup-winning superstar Kylian Mbappe has already played along with some of the big names like Neymar and Lionel Messi. Mbappe, who is currently plying his trade for Real Madrid, recently disclosed that he would love to have played along with Cristiano Ronaldo. Mbappe, at the same time, admitted that the chances of sharing the dressing room with Ronaldo are “going to be very difficult” now.
“I’ve played with great players: Lionel Messi, Neymar, [Antoine] Griezmann, [Paul] Pogba, [Karim] Benzema…” Mbappe told BeINsports, as per Mirror. “It would have been fun to play with Cristiano Ronaldo — it’s going to be very difficult now — but I was lucky enough to play against him, a legend of the sport,” Mbappe added.
After wrapping up a glorious stint at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Mbappe completed his much-talked-about move to Real Madrid this summer. The 26-year-old said that Real Madrid were the only side he would have joined after leaving. Mbappe also reacted to criticism aimed at him over Real Madrid’s recent form.
“I went to the biggest club in the world. I have always said that it was the only club I would have left PSG for. If I hadn’t been able to go to Madrid, I would have stayed at PSG all my life,” the Frenchman said.
“Since I was 14, everyone told me I was going to be great. But when you’re big, sometimes you feel small. At first, I was too hungry and it played tricks on me because I was impatient. But I have passion and this competitive side. My dream now is to win trophies with my team, not individual awards. What great title is left for me? The Champions League, but I’m in the best club in the world for that,” Mbappe said.
Mbappe has so far scored 13 goals in 23 matches across all competitions for Real Madrid this season. In his latest appearance, Mbappe scored a goal and provided an assist in the Intercontinental Cup final against Mexican side Pachuca. Real Madrid went on to win the game by a convincing margin of three goals to nil.
In the LaLiga, Real Madrid currently find themselves in the third spot with 37 points to their name. They are a point behind table-toppers Barcelona, who have played a game more than Real Madrid.
