From honouring Indian heritage to celebrating contemporary styling, each lehenga had its own showstopper story to share on the runway. Here’s a lowdown on which Bollywood celebrity wore what at the 18th edition hosted in New Delhi.
Sara Ali Khan in Aisha Rao
Collection: Wild At Heart
Sara Ali Khan celebrated Aisha Rao’s collection, Wild At Heart, in a voluminous lehenga set perfect for the modern bride. Realised in the richness of teakberry, which was fresh and festive, the lehenga featured Aisha’s signature applique embroidery reimagined with newer motifs such as cacti, palm trees and wild flora. Capturing the true spirit of Wild At Heart, Sara looked surreal as she glided down the runway, celebrating traditional craftsmanship with a modern ease.
Janhvi Kapoor in Jayanti Reddy
Collection: Reclaimed Opulence
Timeless and transcendent, Janhvi Kapoor’s showstopper lehenga was a celebratory confluence of heritage and innovation. Blending time-honoured techniques with a contemporary silhouette, Jayanti Reddy’s showstopper ensemble from her collection Reclaimed Opulence was rich in artisanal detail infused with ornate embroidery and whimsical motifs. Janhvi Kapoor celebrated the modern bride aesthetic in this one-of-a-kind statement couture piece.
Bhumi Pednekar in Ritu Kumar
Collection: Threads of Time: Reimagined
Bhumi Pednekar’s showstopper lehenga set was a story of nostalgia reimagined with relevance and intent. Rooted in personal memory and archival exploration, Ritu Kumar’s collection, Threads of Time: Reimagined, paid tribute to India’s artisanal traditions – from the looms of rural craftsmen to the aristocratic mansions of Kolkata. Bhumi beautifully channelled the modern Indian bride in an intricately embroidered lehenga that celebrated culture through craft.
Ridhima Kapoor Sahni in Suneet Varma
Collection: Sehr
Riddhima Kapoor Sahni graced Suneet Varma’s show, looking ethereal in the showstopper lehenga from the Sehr collection. Drawing inspiration from the mysteries of an enchanted forest, Sehr weaved together romance, drama, and delicate fantasy. Riddhima sparkled on the runway in a lehenga set featuring glistening embroidery and crystals married to a palette of pastel tints. Exuding quiet power on the runway, Riddhima looked radiant in Suneet’s captivating couture ensemble.
Tara Sutaria in RoseRoom by Isha Jajodia
Collection: Whispers Of Love To Myself
Tara Sutaria closed the Roseroom show at India Couture Week 2025 in a breathtaking off-white ensemble that embodied the collection’s final chapter, I Am. Exuding quiet opulence and architectural romance, a gossamer organza skirt embroidered with delicate lace and Chantilly appliqué creates a sense of dreamlike movement. The ensemble was anchored by a hand-sculpted, 18K gold-plated corset, crafted over four months. Its baroque mouldings, inspired by classical French architecture, were adorned with pearls and mother-of-pearl enamel blooms, a wearable ode to devotion, craftsmanship, and inherited grace. Designed as a true work of wearable art, the piece reflects Roseroom’s belief in couture as poetry, where every detail is an expression of devotion, craftsmanship, and timeless elegance.
Tamannaah Bhatia in Rahul Mishra
Collection: Becoming Love
Tamannaah Bhatia had flagged off the Hyundai India Couture Week in an enchanting lehenga set from Rahul Mishra’s Fall Couture collection, Becoming Love.
