Jannat Zubair is a popular television personality who has dominated the small screen since a young age. The actress has been in several daily soaps, films and music videos throughout the years and has become a popular social media star. Although her journey has been quite successful professionally, the actress has received a lot of negative feedback regarding her personality. In a recent interview, Jannat opened up about how people always thought she was “too mature for your age” but she is determined to not get affected.
In conversation with Pinkvilla, Jannat Zubair noted that she has a distinct personality among her family and friends, and that she is mostly seen as someone who is very “sorted” in life. Her family also views her as a “smart” child. Jannat emphasised that while she is called out for being too mature for her age, people also hold those who behave immature accountable as well. Jannat shared, “People will point out some or the other thing no matter how good you are, no matter what you do. It will always come up.”
Speaking about how people’s opinions affected her, the actress noted how things that were not concerning enough were blown out of proportion and she began to doubt herself. Eventually she decided not to question much about things she learned but acknowledges that it was not the right thing to do. She mentioned, “Being mature is a very good thing and knowing what you want is a very good thing. Having clarity is good.” Jannat explained how, while a teenager may not have a plan, a child may have an idea about their future and both situations are fine.
Moreover, the actress discussed how she gathered experience while working in the profession, which led to her maturing faster. Jannat said, “It happens. I have gained experience through my journey so I am not going to be sorry for it.” Lastly, the actress admitted that she will not behave immature just because some people find it inappropriate. Jannat also stated that she has developed a thick skin to such criticisms.
Work wise, Jannat Zubair was last seen in Laughter Chefs season 1 with Reem Shaikh. While the show has been renewed for a second season, Jannat is no longer a part of the show.
