JD Vance’s three-year-old stole the show as she helped her father bake biscuits to celebrate Christmas on a video posted to X.
Mirabel, the youngest of Vance’s three children with his wife Usha, adorably stood by as the VP-elect shared his great-grandmother’s recipe for biscuits.
‘Baking some Vance family biscuits with the world’s best three-year-old sous chef. Merry Christmas everyone!’ Vance, 40, wrote on X on Christmas eve.
‘Today, we’re going to learn how to make biscuits because I feel like biscuit-making is a lost art and I think that every American family should have a biscuit on their table during Christmas dinner,’ the Republican Ohio senator said.
Vance then shares that it was his mamaw, immortalized in his memoir Hillbilly Elegy, who taught him the trick to a good biscuit: frozen butter.
The duo are joined by Vance’s son Vivek and Ewan at the end of the video when the biscuits are out of the oven.
Thousands, including Elon Musk, have left comments on the clip, calling it wholesome and thanking Vance for sharing the family moment.

Vance’s holiday video has been viewed more than three million times.
He and his wife Usha also share sons Ewan Blaine and Vivek.
The Vances welcomed first son Ewan in June 2017, while Vivek was born in February 2020.
Vance famously celebrated their second son’s fourth birthday on the Senate floor earlier this year.
As Vance spoke at length criticizing further aid for Ukraine in a $95.3 billion national security supplemental bill that would also provide foreign aid for Israel, he interrupted himself.
‘Now, I want to move on to another argument. But before I do, I am mindful of something that’s very close to my heart personally.’ Mentioning Ewan and a then-2-year-old Mirabel, he said, ‘I have a little guy named Vivek who was 3 years old yesterday but turned 4 today.

Vance and Usha welcomed their third child, daughter Mirabel, in December 2021.
‘We were blessed with an early Christmas present this year. Everyone please meet Mirabel Rose Vance, our first girl. Mama and baby both doing great, and we’re feeling very grateful this Christmas season,’ he wrote on Instagram at the time, People magazine reported.
While the clip was likely filmed in Vance’s Cincinnati home, the family of five will soon move into the vice president’s residency at the Naval Observatory in Washington DC.
