Ronaldo is currently the captain of Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr and has scored 60 goals in 80 matches for the Riyadh club.
The 39-year-old is under contract until next summer but he is widely expected to sign a new deal, either with Al-Nassr or another club, as he targets 1,000 career goals.
Mourinho want Ronaldo at Fenerbahce having recently had a conversation with the veteran striker, according to Fotomac via Cadena SER.
‘Are you happy there? It’s being rumoured that you want to leave. If you go, would you like to come to Fenerbahce?’ Mourinho asked Ronaldo over the phone.

Ronaldo was a focal point in the Madrid side that famously pipped Barcelona to the La Liga title with 100 points in the 2011-12 campaign under Mourinho.
Despite turning 40 in February, Ronaldo has shown no signs of slowing down at club and international level.
He scored the 909th and 910th goals of his senior career last week in Portugal’s 5-1 win over Poland.
The former Manchester United star insisted afterwards his focus remains on football, with retirement depending on his motivation levels as he approaches 40.
‘I just want to enjoy [myself],’ Ronaldo said. ‘Plan for retirement? If it has to happen, in one or two years… I don’t know. I’m turning 40 soon.
‘I really want to enjoy, as long as I feel motivated I keep going. The day I don’t feel motivated, I will retire.’
Ronaldo also added he doesn’t intent to go into management once he calls time on his career.
‘I don’t see myself managing a team; that’s not in my plans,’ Ronaldo added.
‘My future lies in other areas outside of football, although time will tell what happens.’
