Former MSNBC host Joy Reid attacked Donald Trump voters, claiming they are willing to sacrifice their daughters and called JD Vance an ‘a*****e’ with ‘no personality.’
Reid, who was fired from the network in February, made the comments during a recent episode of ‘NIGHT SCHOOL with Marc Lamont Hill.’
When Hill asked the ousted anchor if the country will move on from MAGA after Trump’s second term, she compared the president to a cult leader and claimed his supporters will do anything for him.
‘Trump is Jim Jones. You know, it’s a religious cult, and he’s Jim Jones. It’s not like Jim Jones Jr. could could run that cult,’ Reid said.
She believes Trump voters are willing to sacrifice themselves and their children to keep him in power.
‘They will give up their healthcare. They will let their daughters be destroyed. They will let their families be destroyed,’ Reid said.
‘He can drown them in Texas. He can take away their FEMA. He can do anything he wants to them. There’s nothing you can do about it, it’s a cult.’
She also claimed that the MAGA movement will struggle to find a replacement for Trump because the Vice President is unlikable.

‘JD Vance, with his lack of charisma, he’s just an a*****e, he has no personality,’ Reid said.
‘He’s the personality of Ron DeSantis. Um, so, no, there is no one else who can run the cult.’
Reid even compared Trump voters to those who supported Barack Obama and would only turn out on election day to vote for him.
‘There is just an Obama voter that will only vote when Obama is on the ballot and will not vote even below the ballot. They will not vote down ticket, just Obama,’ she said.
‘Trump has those kinds of voters. They are dedicated to him personally. They care more about him being happy than them being happy. They care more about him having what he wants than them having what they want.’
She went on the claim that even when Trump goes away, white voters will continue to support Republicans because they hate Democrats.
‘But the problem is, there’s the cult and then there is just this propensity among White voters to vote for any Republican and to create an adherence to any Republican because they just hate Democrats, and they don’t care,’ Reid said.
‘No one likes Ted Cruz, but they’ll vote for him any day of the week because he is not a Democrat.’

Earlier this month, Reid predicted the president will rig the 2026 midterms because the Republican Party’s unification behind Trump’s signature ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill’ is a sign that they don’t fear being voted out of Congress.
‘To me, the fact that Republicans are still voting for the bill tells me that they’re not actually worried about being reelected,’ Reid told Wajahat Ali on his Substack.
‘The way Trump is behaving, he’s not acting like somebody who worries that his party will lose power or that even if the party, even if somehow we had normal elections and Democrats took control of either House … he’s not acting like somebody who’s worried about the consequences of that.’
She added that Trump’s ultimate goal is lifetime rule over the United States.
‘I don’t think Trump intends to leave office. I’m very clear about that. I think he intends stay in office like Putin till he dies. I think it’s going to take an extraordinary movement to get rid of him.’
