A video of Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola confronting a fan has taken the internet by storm. While there is no confirmation about the timing of the event, an article published by Liverpool.com claimed that the video was shot after last season’s FA Cup final, where Manchester United had got the better of Manchester City at Wembley. In the now-viral video, Guardiola and the fan can be seen getting involved in a spat and the argument ended up with a challenge from the Manchester City boss to the supporter, “Do you know what is lost?” Multiple reports claimed that the fan had shouted at the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager, saying, “F***ing hell mate, just cause you lost.”

Needless to say, the reaction from the fan infuriated Guardiola who turned back and tried to approach the supporter. Two men walking next to Guardiola had to intervene and hold the Spaniard back from getting involved in further trouble.

The article published by Liverpool.com claimed that the incident had occurred while Guardiola was walking down a street in Salford.

Guardiola had to endure a disastrous month of November having lost four back-to-back matches in the Premier League. This marked Manchester City’s fourth consecutive loss in top-flight games for the first time since August 2008. Overall, Manchester City were winless in seven games across all competitions.

The poor run of form resulted in chants of “Sacked in the morning, you’re getting sacked in the morning” being echoed at Anfield when Pep Guardiola was present there for his side’s Premier League contest. In response, the Spaniard, standing in his technical area, offered a smile and took his hands out of his pockets to indicate the number of Premier League titles Manchester City have won under him.

Manchester City’s horrendous run of form came to an end during the Premier League fixture against Nottingham Forest. The reigning Premier League champions returned to winning ways with a 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest.

Manchester City currently claim the fourth spot in the Premier League standings with 26 points from 14 games. Guardiola’s side is now nine points behind table-toppers Liverpool. Manchester City will next face Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday, December 7.
