Portuguese international Francisco Conceição has officially completed a permanent move to Juventus from FC Porto, following a successful loan spell last season, the Serie A club confirmed on Tuesday evening.
The 22-year-old winger, who has earned 11 senior caps for Portugal, impressed during his loan stint in Turin, registering seven goals across 40 appearances in all competitions.
Juventus have now secured his services on a long-term contract running until 2030.
“Juventus announce that they have reached an agreement with FC Porto for the permanent acquisition of Francisco Conceição,” the club said in a statement.
The transfer fee totals €30.4 million (approximately $35.6 million), which will be paid over four annual instalments. An additional €1.6 million will cover related fees and other costs, according to Juventus, the only Italian football club listed on the stock exchange.
Rising Talent with Football Pedigree
Born in 2002, Francisco Conceição is the son of former Portuguese international and current manager Sérgio Conceição. A product of FC Porto’s youth academy, Francisco made his senior debut for the club in 2021 and quickly gained attention for his pace, dribbling, and creativity on the flank.
He was part of Porto’s 2021–22 Primeira Liga-winning squad and contributed to their domestic cup successes before moving to Ajax in the Netherlands. After a season in the Eredivisie, he returned to Porto and was loaned to Juventus for the 2023–24 season, where he became a regular fixture in the lineup and earned praise for his maturity and attacking threat.
More Transfers Incoming from Porto
According to Italian media reports, Juventus are also nearing an agreement with FC Porto for the transfer of right-back João Mário, another Portuguese international. As part of the developing negotiations between the two clubs, Juve defender Alberto Costa is expected to move in the opposite direction.
Juventus, now under the management of Igor Tudor, have been active in the transfer market this summer. In addition to Conceição, the Bianconeri have bolstered their attack by signing Canadian striker Jonathan David from French side Lille, aiming to re-establish themselves among Europe’s elite following a transitional period.
