Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a Thanksgiving message alongside husband Doug Emhoff – sporting the same outfit she wore in the now infamous bleary-eyed video earlier in the week that sparked concerns she was drunk.
The Democratic Party’s X account posted the earlier video of Harris on Tuesday, in which she told supporters ‘don’t you ever let anybody take your power from you.’
The 28-second message, in which Harris spoke haltingly at times, raised eyebrows, with online commenters suggesting the VP was drunk when she taped it.
In the newer pre-recorded Thanksgiving message, Harris looks much more refreshed – but she’s wearing the same brown suit and necklace and standing before the same backdrop.
‘Greetings everyone and Happy Thanksgiving,’ Harris said.
‘Today we come together to reflect what we are thankful for and to share our appreciation for one another,’ Emhoff chimed in. ‘Surrounded by family, friends, and those we cherish, we cook our favorite recipes, share family stories, serve those in need and give thanks for our blessings.’
Harris then said that Thanksgiving was a time to ‘express our gratitude’ to U.S. service members and their families.
‘So again, from our family to yours,’ she said. ‘Happy Thanksgiving everyone!’ Harris and Emhoff said in unison.

The entire Harris-Emhoff extended clan visited D.C. Central Kitchen, a non-profit that receives donations from local restaurants to feed the underserved.
Both of Emhoff’s children, Ella and Cole, were on hand, along with Cole’s wife Greenley Littlejohn, as well as Harris’ sister Maya, her husband Tony West and their daughter Meena, who brought along her little ones Amara and Leela.
Harris and her family members were tasked with de-stemming collard greens to make the traditional southern dish.
‘This is not my first rodeo,’ Ella Emhoff said, as family members tried to determine who was de-stemming the greens the fastest.
‘Everything in this family is a competition,’ Meena Harris said, with the vice president echoing her with a laugh, ‘Everything in this family is a competition.’
Harris, a proficient cook, told reporters on the scene that her Thanksgiving menu consisted of turkey and ham, her famous cornmeal stuffing, sweet potatoes, string beans, Brussels sprouts, a salad and dinner rolls.

Harris is reportedly mulling a third presidential bid in 2028 after losing every swing state to President-elect Donald Trump earlier this month.
She’s kept a low profile since delivering her concession speech on the grounds of her alma mater, Howard University.
Harris appeared alongside President Joe Biden at a Veterans Day ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery and also lunched with him at the White House before decamping to Hawaii.
Asked at D.C. Central Kitchen what was next, Harris replied, ‘Thanksgiving dinner.’
