The IPL love affair is not yet over for New Zealand talisman Kane Williamson, as the batter was announced as a part of the extensive commentary team for the upcoming IPL 2025, alongside other former players such as AB de Villiers and Shikhar Dhawan.

Williamson, who was part of the Gujarat Titans last season, went unsold in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction, shocking many around the world.

But, in an even more surprising turn of events, broadcaster Star Sports revealed that the two-time IPL champion would be making his comeback to the coveted league, as a part of their star-studded commentary team.

Williamson, who won the IPL with both Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2016 and the Gujarat Titans in 2022, will now share the mic for the national feed of IPL 2025 which will also feature the likes of AB de Villiers, Suresh Raina, Virender Sehwag, while the world feed will have the likes of Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri and Harsha Bhogle.
