Karachi Kings will open their campaign in the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with a big match against the Multan Sultans. The T20 contest will be held at the National Stadium in Karachi on Saturday, April 12.
Australian superstar David Warner has been named the captain of the Karachi Kings, who won their first and only PSL title in 2020, beating Lahore Qalandars in the final. They have built a strong squad this season, with former England all-rounder Ravi Bopara serving as the head coach.
Warner will open the innings with New Zealand veteran Kane Williamson who went unsold at the IPL 2025 mega auction. Karachi Kings also have a formidable bowling unit featuring the likes of Hassan Ali, Adam Milne and Abbas Afridi.
Multan Sultans became the PSL champions in 2021, registering a 47-run win over Peshawar Zalmi. They also reached the finals of the 2022 and 2023 editions but lost to Lahore Qalandars on both occasions.
Mohammed Rizwan will lead Multan Sultans in PSL 10. Their squad features some top-quality batters like Kamran Ghulam, Johnson Charles and Shai Hope. Usama Mir will spearhead the pace unit along with Chris Jordan and Josh Little. Iftikhar Ahmed and David Willey should secure the all-rounder’s spots in the playing eleven.
