Rafuu marks the first on-screen collaboration of Ayesha Khan and Karan V Grover. But he earlier collaborated with Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta for Udaariyaan.
Ayesha Khan, known for her stint in the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 17, will be making her small screen comeback with the upcoming show Rafuu. It will be produced by TV celeb couple Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta under their production banner Dreamiyata Dramaa. Now, a Pinkvilla report has revealed the name of the male lead in the upcoming show. As per the report, TV actor Karan V Grover, known for his performances in shows like Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, Udaariyaan and Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum, has been finalised to play the lead opposite Ayesha Khan in Rafuu.
Citing a source close to the show, the entertainment news portal stated that the shooting for the project has already begun in Chandigarh and the makers will release the teaser of the show soon.
Rafuu marks the first on-screen collaboration of Ayesha and Karan. However, the latter earlier collaborated with Ravi and Sargun for the show Udaariyaan in which he played a negative role.
Both Ravi and Sargun recently shared a dramatic video on social media to reveal Ayesha’s name for their upcoming show. The caption of the clip shared on Instagram read, “RAFUU on @dreamiyatadramaa super soon. Subscribe to the YouTube channel now for more updates.”
As soon as the post was shared online, the comment section was flooded with reactions from fans and celebs. Gauahar Khan wrote, “Too cute.” Karan Grover commented, “All the best you guys.” Abhishek Kumar commented, “Wohoo Super excited.”
On Friday, the duo shared another dramatic video in which the male lead of the show could be seen facing his back at the camera. However, the producers didn’t officially reveal the face of the lead actor of the show.
Ravi and Sargun have previously created successful shows such as Junooniyatt, Udaariyaan, Dalchini and Badall Pe Paon Hai.
Talking about Ayesha, a source recently revealed that the actress has also been shortlisted for a role in a Marathi film. “She spent two to two and a half months filming in a village near Pune. Ayesha demonstrated her passion for her art by learning a separate dialect of Marathi for her character, adding authenticity to her portrayal,” the source told News18.
Karan, on the other hand, was last seen in the show Dhruv Tara: Samay Sadi Se Pare.
