Kareena Kapoor Khan turned heads in a hand-painted red kurta set by Devnaagri as she joined the Kapoor family to invite PM Modi for the Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival.
The Kapoor family recently paid a visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to invite him to the upcoming Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival. For the special occasion, Kareena Kapoor Khan stood out in a vibrant red Chanderi kurta set, showcasing her signature elegant style. Kareena traveled alongside her family, including her husband Saif Ali Khan, to commemorate this milestone event.
Kareena’s striking ensemble, designed by Devnaagri, featured a hand-painted red kurta with a closed neckline, quarter-length sleeves, and intricate floral patterns highlighted by thread detailing. The straight-cut kurta boasted a symmetrical hem and delicate embroidery at the neckline. She paired it with matching slim shantoon pants and a sheer organza dupatta adorned with hand-painted floral motifs and threadwork. Her look was accessorized minimally with silver jhumkas, a black bindi, and subtle makeup. The outfit, part of Devnaagri’s Firdaus collection, is priced at ₹36,500 and celebrates a blend of tradition and artistry. The designer label shared photos of Kareena on Instagram, praising her as “a vision of elegance and craftsmanship.”
Kareena also took to Instagram to share moments from the meeting with PM Modi, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to honor the legendary Raj Kapoor. “We are deeply humbled and honored to have been invited by the Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, to celebrate the extraordinary life and legacy of our grandfather, the legendary Raj Kapoor,” she wrote. “Thank you, Shri Modi ji, for such a memorable afternoon. Your warmth, attention, and support in commemorating this milestone mean the world to us.”
The Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival will be held from December 13 to December 15, 2024, showcasing 10 iconic films across 40 cities and 135 cinemas. Kareena expressed her pride in the event, stating, “As we celebrate 100 glorious years of Dadaji’s artistry, vision, and contribution to Indian cinema, we honor the timeless impact of his legacy that continues to inspire generations.”
The Kapoor entourage included Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Bharat Sahni, Rima Jain, Manoj Jain, Aadar Jain, Armaan Jain, and Anissa Malhotra Jain. Together, they marked this significant occasion, paying tribute to the cinematic legend Raj Kapoor while looking forward to celebrating his contributions to Indian cinema.
