As the countdown for Christmas has started, the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, has kicked off the celebrations by hosting her annual Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey. Kate, who is known for her impeccable style and recycling her favourite pieces, once again showcased a perfect move for sustainable fashion by re-wearing her classic coat from her wardrobe. She wore a red double-breasted Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen coat that she has previously worn in the past a few times.

This year for the service, Kate Middleton jazzed up the coat with a chic holiday makeover by pairing it with a black bow. To complete the ensemble, she paired it with an Emilia Wickstead tartan skirt and black suede boots, inspiring fashion enthusiasts to give a new twist to an old outfit combination.

As for accessories, she opted for pearl drop earrings that added the right amount of charm to the ensemble. Her tresses were styled in a signature bouncy blow-dry that made her look gorgeous as ever.

Spearheaded by the Princess of Wales and supported by The Royal Foundation, the ‘Together at Christmas’ Carol service brought festive cheer to the Abbey. It is worth noting that the Abbey is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The medieval venue was beautifully decked out with red and green decorations, with Christmas trees nestled among the monuments and ancient tombs, creating a magical holiday atmosphere.

This year, the ‘Together at Christmas’ carol service marked the fourth service, and more than 1,500 people were invited to the carol service. Princess Charlotte, Princes George and Louis, along with Prince William and their three children, joined Kate at the service.

This isn’t the first time Kate has worn the red double-breasted coat for various public appearances. The beauty debuted the McQueen coat back in 2020 for the launch of a new photography exhibition, called Hold Still, at Waterloo Station in London. She teamed the outfit with a white T-shirt underneath and black pumps by Gianvito Rossi at the time.

Two months later, she styled the coat with a black turtleneck, an Emilia Wickstead tartan skirt, and a matching scarf, before bringing it back out again for the Rugby League World Cup in 2022.

This approach of Kate Middleton demonstrates that style doesn’t have to come expensive with new outfits.
