Katy Perry made a futuristic statement at the Breakthrough Prize ceremony in Los Angeles that was held on the weekend. The singer opted for a stunning silver ensemble by ace designer Gaurav Gupta for this event that is often dubbed as the Oscars of Science. The outfit was adorned with glimmering glass beads to create a hypnotic statement.
Taking to his Instagram, designer Gaurav Gupta shared a picture of Katy Perry making a striking statement on the Breakthrough Prize red carpet. The designer revealed that the gown was from the Aarohanam collection, which he had showcased at the Paris Couture Week. He wrote, “@katyperry in Gaurav Gupta Couture at the 11th Breakthrough Prize Ceremony in Los Angeles. She wears the Silver-Blue Reptilian Glass Embroidery Gown from Aarohanam, Paris Couture Week SS’24. The column silhouette, inspired by fluid reptilian movements, is adorned with meticulously hand-embroidered glass beadwork, forming a hypnotic interplay of light and texture.”
Take a look at Katy Perry’s stunning outfit here.
The silver-blue gown was adorned with hand-embroidered glass beadwork all over its length. The gown came with a cut-out detail at the neckline. The sheer panels on the bodice of the gown graduated into a column skirt. The skirt lightly grazed the red carpet as Katy walked with confidence in her steps. The gown also came with a head scarf, which gave the overall look a chic allure. The silhouette was inspired by the movement of a reptile. The singer was styled by Georgia Pendlebury.
Katy Perry is all set to head to space with Lauren Sanchez and Gayle King. The all-women spaceflight will launch on April 14. This is the first all-female mission of its kind since 1963.
