One of television’s most popular quiz shows, Kaun Banega Crorepati, is returning to your screens with its 16th season. Amitabh Bachchan, who has been part of this show for years, returns as the host in the brand new season. Ahead of the launch, the producers have been releasing various promos, creating a buzz among its loyal spectators. One of the recent promos focusses on several behind-the-scenes clips where the megastar is seen trying to hilariously adjust to the KBC set.
In the latest promo, Amitabh Bachchan reveals that there are at least 10 cameras on set and every action is being recorded. He jokingly stated, “Bada complicated hai ye set, Hazzaro light hai.,computer se chalti hai. Camera hai 10 -12…Koi kuch bhi karoge, padka jayega (the set is quite complicated, there are 1000 lights operated with computers. There are about 10-12 cameras…everything will get recorded).”
BigB also faked his frustration saying the voltage up down on set is disturbing him and he is unable to take pictures. The caption along with the promo read, “KBC mein itne cameras hain, ki har masti-bhara pal hota hai capture!”
Back in July, Sony TV shared the first official promo for Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, announcing the debut date and time. The show is starting on August 12. In the first promo, Amitabh Bachchan discusses overcoming life’s challenges in order to attain a life goal. Following 15 successful seasons, the creators are ready to delight and educate the public once more. Registration for Amitabh Bachchan’s show opened on April 26.
The first season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ premiered in 2000, with Amitabh Bachchan as host. Except for the 2006 third season, which was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan has been a regular on the show. Kaun Banega Crorepati season 16 airs on Sony TV every Monday to Friday at 9 pm. Shrimad Ramayan has been discontinued on the channel to make way for the 16th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati.
Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Kalki 2898 AD. His performance as Ashwatthama in the Nag Ashwin-directed film has gotten high accolades from both the audience and reviewers.
