Is it too little, too late for Kamala Harris?
Days to go and desperate to fend off Donald Trump’s ‘poll vault’, Saint Kamala – canonized at convention – has come off the mountain and dived into the gutter.
Joy is so last summer. From her ‘great debate’ to now peddling hate, the name-calling (#garbagegate), finger-pointing and flip-flopping is hurting her dearly.
Where did it all go wrong? Well, not that Misogynist Mark Cuban would have you believe it, but I know a thing or two about how to run (and win!) a presidential campaign.
Here are the hard truths someone should have told Kamala, who’s had a ghoulish October:
Is it too little, too late for Kamala Harris? Days to go and with Dems desperate to fend off Donald Trump ‘s ‘poll vault’, here are the hard truths someone should have given Kamala…
1. Kamala, we hardly know ya
Between the giggles and gaffes, Kamala says ‘Donald Trump’ more times than she says inflation or immigration.Â
And while she feasted on ‘I’m not Biden’ and ‘I’m not Trump’ for months, hungry voters were left wondering: Kamala, who are you?Â
Now she leans on A-list endorsements and the Obamas to stir up star appeal, but record numbers are too busy lining up to early vote for Trump.
2. Messy palace coup
Kamala has grievously mishandled her relationship with and succession to Joe Biden.
First, she ran him over. Then, she ran away from their shared record.
She forgot to mute his mic and toss him back into the basement. So, there he is, popping up to remind us that we are ‘garbage’ and she is his right arm, his full partner on the broken border, the busted economy, the wars abroad.
3. Too little in common with common folk
For all her boasts of real-world experience, Kamala has been in government continuously for 30-plus years and it shows.
She’s locked up her fellow citizens for marijuana possession, and jumped the line over more qualified and more compelling candidates. She may have been ‘raised in a middle-class household’ but her so-called economic ‘plan’ threatens others who have similar ambitions.
4. Billion-dollar delusion
Money in politics is distorting. It may buy you ambitious consultants, but not voter love.Â
Team Harris has pocketed over one billion dollars from Establishment liberals and plowed it into stupendously expensive political ads ($450,000 a day on the Las Vegas sphere), instead of pushing their candidate out on the trail to meet the people who matter.

5. Don’t be simple – simplify!
Whether it’s the effects of late-stage Trump Derangement Syndrome or simply a lack of brainpower, Kamala has missed all the key issues.
From too much focus on abortion to not enough on inflation, it proves she’s a politico without her finger on the pulse.
Trump is a complicated person with simple ideas: Secure the border. End foreign wars. Cut your taxes. Restore energy independence.
Kamala is the opposite – a simple person with complicated ideas. She told CNN’s Anderson Cooper as much at a recent townhall: ‘I may not be quick to have the answer’ – she can say that again – ‘because I’m going to want to research it.’
Sadly, given the current state of America, voters don’t have time to waste or wait.
6. Personnel problems
Harris’s record of mismanagement and reported mistreatment of subordinates was always going to be an issue.
Her staff turnover rate is a notorious 92 percent. She doesn’t know how to keep ’em – or pick ’em.Â
Indeed, the selection of Governor Tim Walz as her running mate was one of the worst hires in political history. This caricature of what MSNBC viewers think a Midwest Trump voter looks like has turned out to be a lying, crying goofball.
The more capable and competent choice would have been Governor Josh Shapiro, who is a popular leader in perhaps the most important state in Kamala’s electoral path (Pennsylvania), and who also happens to be Jewish.

7. Show more grace
In the wake of the two attempts on Trump’s life, Kamala could have made a genius move by assuming control of investigations into the botched assassinations.
‘I don’t want him to be POTUS again, but I want him and his family safe.’
It would have projected magnanimity and presidential might.
Instead, and in perhaps the biggest October Surprise, Kamala 2024 has morphed into Hillary 2016 – and allowed Trump 2024 to become Trump 2016, barnstorming the swing states, taking risks, showing up and enjoying the heck out of it along the way.
Harris has lost this last month to DJT on most metrics, including media interviews (Trump and Vance have done many more, including popular podcasts), memorable moments (Trump at McDonald’s and in that epic garbage truck) and polling data (all trending toward Trump).
Like Hillary Clinton, Kamala has a massive cash advantage, outraising Trump three times in September alone. And like Hillary, she’s been relying on paid ads and celebs to substitute for a lack of connective tissue with voters who detect her inauthenticity.
In 2016, folks said of Hillary, ‘lock her up’. Now, with Kamala, it’s ‘prop her up’.
