Kerry Katona is set to go under the knife again as she plans lower facelift and has been getting guidance from surgery-obsessed pal Katie Price

Kerry Katona has revealed she’s set to kick off her New Year with another bout of cosmetic surgery as she plans a lower facelift.

The former Atomic Kitten star, 44, told how she’s ‘nervous’ for the procedure, but has turned to her surgery-obsessed pal Katie Price for guidance and ‘moral support’.

Katie, 46, has long been known for her love of going under the knife and has had numerous procedures over the years including facelifts, breast enhancements, rhinoplasty.

So it’s little wonder Kerry has leaned on her friend for support, with the star remarking in her latest new! magazine column that she’s both ‘excited’ and apprentice for the surgery. 

Opening up about her upcoming plans, Kerry explained: ‘I’ve got my lower facelift coming up in January, which I’m excited about – but I’m also so nervous 

‘I always get really nervous when it comes to anything being done to my face, but I know it will be worth it.’

On her pal’s help, she continued: ‘Katie is going to come to stay with me when I get it done for moral support, which I really appreciate.

‘She’d had the procedure done before, so she knows what I’ll be going through and will be able to ease my nerves and anxiety, while helping during my recovery too.’

She added: ‘Katie is in such a good headspace right now and it’s amazing to see, I’m so proud of her. She has been a real pillar of support for me these past few months.’

A lower facelift, known as a jowl lift is a procedure ‘designed to reduce loose skin around the lower half of the face (mainly the jowls) and neck’, according to the NHS, and is designed to address the signs of aging.  

Kerry and Katie first formed a close friendship back in 2024, when they appeared on the third series of I’m A Celebrity, with Katie finishing in fifth place while Kerry won the show. 

As well as helping her through the surgery, Katie has been by Kerry’s side over the festive period and will spend New Year’s Eve with her bestie following Kerry’s heartbreaking split from fiancé Ryan Mahoney. 

This isn’t the first time Kerry has gone under the knife or enlisted an aesthetic practitioner to alter her appearance.   

Last month she hit back at cruel trolls after they blasted her recent lip tweakment and compared her to a ‘duck’.

The former singer headed to Oxford Natural Clinic to get a top-up of her lip filler. 

A clip of the process was shared on Instagram where Kerry could be seen on a reclining treatment chair as she got the ‘natural’ treatment. 

While in July Kerry revealed plans for her fourth boob job while also opening up about her upcoming facelift.

She told OK! at the time: ‘I would really like a lower facelift, to give me that chiselled jawline. And I want a boob job now too. I feel like my boobs are at my knees!’ 

Back in June, the star looked drastically different after revealing the results of her recent nose job which left her in tears.  

Kerry underwent surgery in order to fix the damage she caused during years of drug abuse only to be distraught when the operation made her no longer look like her biological father.

Back in June, the star looked drastically different after revealing the results of her recent nose job which l eft her in tears 

She said she was left  distraught when the operation made her no longer look like her biological father (right, pictured March 2024) 

Kerry previously revealed she was getting a rib removed to make her new nose and would be used to replace cartilage ‘to make it look a bit smaller’ (pictured with her surgeon)  

She also clarified she was in urgent need of the surgery as she had ‘three holes’ inside her nose due to her past cocaine abuse. 

Following the procedure Kerry wrote in her New! magazine column: ‘I burst into tears when I got home and saw it, because it looked swollen and different. 

‘I’m also a little sad because I have the same nose as my biological dad, so it makes me think I’ve lost that link.’

Kerry used a detective agency to track down her biological father Ron Armstrong but he passed away from throat cancer before they were due to meet.

He only saw his daughter once in his life, during a meeting with Kerry’s mother Sue when Kerry was just two months old.

Elsewhere, Kerry has previously had a tummy tuck in 2021 followed by another operation on her stomach in 2023.

Kerry, who is a mother to Molly, 22, Lilly, 20, Heidi, 16, Max, 15, and DJ, nine, admitted her children were not thrilled about her undergoing her most recent surgery 

She previously revealed she was convinced to have the surgery after pal Katie, who has also had the procedure, ‘gave her loads of advice’.

The media personality has also undergone multiple boob jobs and reductions.

While in January she showed off the results after undergoing a blepharoplasty, which removes the excess skin from the eyelids.

However, Kerry, who is a mother to Molly, 22, Lilly, 20, Heidi, 16, Max, 15, and DJ, nine, admitted her children were not thrilled about her having her eyes done. 

She revealed when her older children FaceTimed her in hospital it ‘freaked’ them out so she hasn’t shown DJ the results because it will ‘scare her’.
