Khalistani groups in Canada have threatened fresh protests against Hindus and Hindu temples. Top intelligence sources said that there has been no pressure from the Justin Trudeau government on these Khalistani groups.
These groups will carry out a protest against Life Certificate Camps at Oakville temple. Khalistani group Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) has announced demonstrations against ‘Life Certificate Camps’ scheduled for November 23 at Vaishno Devi Temple in Oakville, and November 30 at Lakshmi Narayan Mandir in Scarborough.
SFJ has said that the protests target the actions of Indian diplomats. “Indian diplomats are using ‘Life Certificate Camps’ as a cover for intelligence-gathering and to pressure the Sikh community in Canada,” said Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun.
Intelligence sources have said that this is an ongoing threat and no action has been taken taken by any state police against these groups. “They threatened Hindus and Indian diplomats both. Canadian police itself are unable to implement bylaws where these people can’t be doing all such things so aggressively against temples and Indian diplomats,” sources said.
Earlier, News18 had reported that the administration in Canada was allegedly demanding money from Hindu groups to provide them protection, said top Intelligence sources. Sources had said Hindu organisations are upset with the police in Canada for asking for money.
The Peel Police allegedly demanded $70,000 to provide protection to Hindu groups, sources said. Canadian Hindu organisations have accused the Justin Trudeau government of “abusing their civil rights.” “We are also tax payers, why this bias towards us? The Peel police, instead of addressing our issues, is putting undue pressure on us,” the Canadian Hindu groups said.
The attacks on Hindu temples began on a large scale in the last one year, including the firing at the house of Satish Sharma, president of Surrey’s Lakshmi Narayan Mandir. On November 3, protesters carrying Khalistani flags clashed with devotees at a Hindu temple in Brampton. The Laxmi Narayan Mandir in Surrey was attacked the same day.
