Star India pacer Kuldeep Yadav’s three-word prediction of the Champions League final between Inter Milan and the Paris Saint-Germain has gone viral on social media, with the cricketer predicting correctly that the match would be one-sided, and so it was.
Kuldeep is known for his love of football and is a fan of clubs like FC Barcelona, and is often seen tweeting during big games.
During the 2023 ODI World Cup, Kuldeep met David Beckham and discussed his football aspirations with him as well.
“One side game,” Kuldeep tweeted at 12:26 am on Sunday, four minutes before the Champions League final began.
Kuldeep will next be seen during India’s five-match Test series against England, with the majority of players set to leave on June 6.
Paris Saint-Germain won the Champions League for the first time by thrashing Inter Milan 5-0 on Saturday in the most one-sided final in the competition’s history.
Teenager Desire Doue scored twice for Paris Saint-Germain and set up the opening goal for Achraf Hakimi in Munich’s Allianz Arena before Khvicha Kvaratskhelia made it four, and then 19-year-old substitute Senny Mayulu completed the scoring.
Paris Saint-Germain took the lead after 12 minutes when Hakimi side-footed home a pass from Doue.
The Parisians went 2-0 ahead eight minutes later when their defender Willian Pacho kept the ball from going out at the PSG end, and the resulting fast-flowing move led to Doue firing in a deflected shot that evaded Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
Thousands of PSG supporters took to the streets of the French capital on Saturday to celebrate their club’s win against Inter Milan in the Champions League final.
In Paris, most fans showed their joy by singing and dancing in the streets, with cars sounding their horns, after their side won the biggest prize in European club football for the first time in their history.
French President Emmanuel Macron’s office said that he would host the victorious players on Sunday to congratulate them.
The PSG team will hold a victory parade on the Champs-Élysées on Sunday, when tens of thousands of supporters are expected to gather to get a glimpse of their returning heroes.
