Kylie Jenner’s confidence and poise in wearing bold, edgy gowns are nothing new to the fashion mongers. From red carpet events to traditional occasions, the powerhouse of fashion keeps turning heads with each of her looks. Recently, she unleashed her inner charm at the CFDA Awards 2024, wearing a stunning black ensemble that resembled the iconic look of Angelina Jolie in her film, Maleficent.
Kylie Jenner graced the CFDA Awards 2024 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City in complete style. However, it was her OOTN that grabbed a lot of attention. She wore an all-black gown with a scaly bodice with feather-like details similar to scales, a round, very short neck and full sleeves. The bodice was attached to a spiky skirt that elevated her curves. The exquisite piece was from Jean Paul Gaultier’s couture, and indeed, it was one of a kind.
Jenner teamed her black ensemble with glam makeup, which elevated her look’s gothic factor. It included an ample amount of highlighter on her T-zone and blushed cheeks. Moreover, she opted for thin strokes of eyeliner and nude lipstick to complement her OOTN. The fashionista is well aware of how to round off her looks. Hence, she kept her hairstyle minimal and let the outfit do the talking. She chose a slick hairdo with a wet finish. A pair of pointed heels finished off the 27-year-old’s entire makeover, adding an oomph factor.
Soon after the pictures and videos from Jenner’s red carpet glamour surfaced on social media, her sleek updo and understated makeup allowed her gown to take centre stage and left onlookers in awe. This even resembled Angelina Jolie’s villainous character from the 2014 Disney film Maleficent. For context, the movie’s titular role of the dark fairy is known for its black-hued dressing top to bottom alongside bold red lips and dramatic long nails. One look at Jenner and her fans would be enticed by it.
This is not the first time Jenner has amazed us with her drool-worthy dressing sense. At the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, the fashionista struck chords with her sartorial avatar in a vintage piece from Thierry Mugler’s fashion house.
Her exquisite dress featured wide-cut sheer sequins in a skin-toned fishnet pattern, clinging to her body like a second skin in the upper portion. It was attached to a shimmering, floor-length black skirt. With her nude makeup and open tresses, she added a bold touch to the gown.
