Two-time champions Australia will face Afghanistan in Match No. 10 of the Champions Trophy 2025 on Friday, February 28. The must-win match for both teams is scheduled to take place at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The reigning ODI World Cup winners would like to settle the scores against the spirited Afghan team on Friday and book a place in the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy 2025. Australia opened its campaign in the Champions Trophy 2025 on February 22 by securing a five-wicket win over England in Lahore, but its second match in Rawalpindi got washed out due to rain on Tuesday, February 25.

On the other hand, Afghanistan will come into the do-or-die match after securing an eight-run win over England in the second Group B match played at Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday, February 26. Afghanistan will have high hopes from Ibrahim Zadran and Azmatullah Omarzai in the match against Australia.

Zadran scored 177 runs in the last match against England, whereas Omarzai picked up five wickets to set up a memorable win for the Hashmatullah Shahidi-led side.
