‘Let’s Keep It Real, Not Me’: Priyanka Chahar Choudhary Shuts Down Naagin 7 Rumours

Responding to the reports, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary said, “Rumours? Oh, I’ve seen them,” before setting the record straight.

The Ektaa Kapoor-backed fantasy drama Naagin is gearing up for its seventh season. Recently, several rumours suggested that actress Priyanka Chahar Choudhary had been finalised for the lead role, sparking immense excitement among fans. However, putting an end to the speculation, the Bigg Boss 16 alum took to social media to clarify her stance.

Reacting to the reports, the actress wrote on her Instagram Stories, “Rumours? Oh, I’ve seen them. The excitement? Not gonna lie, I enjoyed it! But let’s keep it real, not me,” followed by a snake and red-cross emoji, indicating she is not part of Naagin 7.

She continued, “Now that the air is clear, let’s move on to more exciting things.”

Priyanka recently reignited speculation after posting a mirror selfie on Instagram Stories, which many believed hinted at her casting in Naagin 7. Her phone cover, featuring a snake design, further fuelled fans’ assumptions.

Producer Ektaa Kapoor officially announced the return of the popular franchise with a special video on Instagram. In the clip, she discusses the upcoming season with her team while exploring ideas for a fresh storyline and cast, teasing a bigger and better season ahead.

The makers were reportedly considering several actors for the lead roles, with names like Vivian Dsena, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Isha Malviya emerging as top contenders.

An official announcement regarding the final cast of Naagin 7 is still awaited.

Over the years, the franchise has featured several leading ladies, including Nia Sharma, Mouni Roy, Surbhi Jyoti, Surbhi Chandna and Tejasswi Prakash.

The previous season, Naagin 6, led by Tejasswi Prakash also starred Simba Nagpal, Mahek Chahal, Shrey Mittal and Vatsal Seth in key roles. It went off-air in 2023, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the next instalment.

Meanwhile, Priyanka was last seen in the web series Dus June Kii Raat alongside Tusshar Kapoor. Directed by Tabrez Khan, the show also featured Shaan Grover, Sumit Arora and Rohit Gill in lead roles.
