LG unveiled a groundbreaking television that left the world astounded: the world’s first transparent OLED TV, the LG Signature OLED T. Priced at a staggering $60,000 (around Rs 51.1 lakh), this revolutionary TV is making waves globally, though it is currently only available in the United States. The announcement of this premium product comes as part of LG’s ongoing effort to stay at the forefront of the consumer electronics market, offering products that redefine the user experience.
The LG Signature OLED T was first introduced at CES 2024, where it captured attention with its stunning design and advanced features. Now officially launched, the TV offers a blend of cutting-edge technology and aesthetic innovation. It stands out not just for its transparency but also for its exceptional performance, making it one of the most expensive televisions ever made.
What truly sets the LG Signature OLED T apart is its advanced Alpha 11 AI processor. This new processor provides a significant boost in AI performance, delivering four times the AI processing power, 70% improved graphic performance, and a 30% faster processing speed compared to previous models. These enhancements translate into a more immersive and responsive viewing experience, pushing the boundaries of what a TV can do.
The LG Signature OLED T features a 77-inch 4K OLED panel, offering ultra-high-definition resolution (3,840 x 2,160) for crisp and vibrant visuals. One of the standout aspects of this TV is the ability to switch between transparent and opaque modes. This feature adds a unique dimension to the television, allowing it to seamlessly blend into a room when not in use and turn into a vibrant, high-quality display when desired.
The TV also boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth motion during fast-paced content like sports or action movies. For those who enjoy gaming, the TV offers a range of gaming-friendly features, including Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), variable refresh rate, and Adaptive Sync, making it ideal for 4K 120Hz gaming.
Along with its impressive visuals, the LG Signature OLED T doesn’t skimp on sound. It comes equipped with a 4.2-channel speaker system that supports AI, DTS:X, and Dolby Atmos, ensuring a rich and immersive audio experience to match the stunning visuals.
Another standout feature of the TV is LG’s Zero Connect technology, which enables the wireless transmission of 4K video and audio signals to the display. This advanced wireless system uses Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 5.1, and HDMI connectivity, eliminating the need for messy cables and offering greater flexibility in TV placement.
In addition to its visual and audio capabilities, the TV offers several display modes that enhance its usability. The T-Object mode provides an always-on display with images or a gallery, while the T-Bar mode delivers notifications like sports updates and weather forecasts. The T-Home mode offers quick access to settings, apps, and available services, further elevating the user experience.
While the LG Signature OLED T has already launched in the United States, there is currently no word on when it will become available in India. Given its premium pricing and exclusive nature, it remains to be seen if it will be widely accessible to Indian consumers in the near future.
