Liam Gallagher ‘granted planning permission to build his own relaxing garden room’ as he continues with his lavish transformation of £4M mock Tudor-style London mansion

Liam Gallagher has reportedly been given planning permission to add a tranquil garden room at his £4 million mansion in London.

The Oasis star, 52, bought the serene mock Tudor style home in one of north London’s quietest streets in 2019, and has made many renovations to the lavish property.

And now the singer has allegedly been granted permission to create his own relaxing oasis at the bottom of his garden, with the caveat that it is not to be used for ‘sleeping’.

According to The Mirror, planners said: ‘The outbuilding approved shall not be occupied other than for purposes incidental to residential use.

‘For the avoidance of doubt, the structure shall not be utilised for any purposes which one would expect to be accommodated within the main dwelling, such as sleeping.’

While clarifying this is ‘to ensure that the development does not prejudice the character of the locality and the amenities…of adjoining residential properties.

‘The garden room hereby approved is to be constructed using ‘small diameter piles. The new structure must also safeguard nearby trees ‘in the interests of visual amenity’.

The publication further claims that Liam submitted plans to the local council to destroy his existing shed to make way for a ‘glazed garden room’,  at double the size.

Representatives for Liam Gallagher declined to comment when approached by MailOnline.

It comes after The Mail revealed in June that the musician wanted to beef up the security of his luxury pad by building a new garden wall.

He had also submitted plans to plant a 6ft hedge at the 19th Century property to help keep out intruders and prying eyes.

Liam’s planning agent said: ‘The existing entrance gates and walls of the property do not provide the necessary privacy or security for the family.’

He had also applied at the time for permission to install a heated outdoor swimming pool, plant room and area for sunbeds.

Keen not to give the council much room to contest the plans, the application pointed out: ‘It’s important to note that many nearby properties feature swimming pools in varying shapes and sizes.’

Liam was previously given the green light to install new external doors and complete internal alterations as well as refurbishment works which included a fancy booze room complete with a posh bar and stools (pictured with his fiancée Debbie Gwyther in 2018)

An existing sunken patio at the property was also planned to be extended, with no neighbours objecting at the time.

The following month, The Sun reported Liam had further plans for his garden, making moves to get rid of his central fire pit to make way for a more relaxed setting of a summerhouse and sunloungers around the pool.

He’s also reportedly dumped the BBQ area for an uber-trendy outdoor pizza oven, which costs well over £2,000.

The publication added that he also plans to have a feature tree at the front of the house, an Acer palmatum Bloodgood, which is a unique Japanese tree that boasts a gorgeous purple colour.

And even while he sent his plans in motion, the environmentally conscious star ensured that all of his historic trees were retained and the roots protected via special measures throughout construction.

The swimming pool will also reportedly have a special heat pump, which means the noise level will only be 27 dB from ten metres away – the same as a soft whisper.

According to the publication, the planning application added: ‘An air source heat pump has been proposed to meet the heating requirements of the proposed swimming pool.’

‘This essential component is designed to efficiently regulate the pool’s temperature while minimising environmental impact, with the aim of reducing the carbon footprint associated with pool heating and avoiding the use of gas.’
