Liam Gallagher ‘postpones wedding to Debbie Gwyther for a THIRD time’ to focus on upcoming Oasis reunion tour

Liam Gallagher has postponed his wedding to Debbie Gwyther for a third time.

According to new reports, the Oasis star, 52, is delaying his nuptials so that he can focus on the upcoming reunion tour with his brother Noel, 57.

Liam and his music manager fiancée Debbie, 40, who have been engaged since 2019, first put their wedding on hold in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The couple – who have an 11-year age gap – were due to marry in Lake Como last year – but the nuptials were postponed when Liam needed hip surgery.

A source told The Sun: ‘Liam and Debbie are super committed, so aren’t in any rush.

‘They’d rather wait until the Oasis dates are out the way and do a family affair.’

Liam shares son Lennon, 25, with his first wife Patsy Kensit and has a daughter Gene, 23, with his second wife Nicole Appleton.

Liam began dating Nicole in 2000 and married in 2008 before they split in 2014 following his affair with Liza Ghorbani.

The rocker also has two daughters Molly, 26, and Gemma, 11, from previous relationships.

Debbie has been in a relationship with the frontman for 10 years, after they met in 2013 when she worked as his personal assistant after taking a job with his then management company Quest, run by Paul McCartney’s manager Scott Rodger.

After Liam divorced All Saints singer Nicole Appleton in 2014, the two began a relationship, going on to get engaged in 2019, when Liam proposed during a trip to the Amalfi coast in Italy.

Debbie has been credited with transforming the rockstar’s reputation and leading him to a healthy lifestyle – and even orchestrating the Oasis reunion.

According to a friend of the Oasis singer, this relationship is different to his previous marriages.

The friend told the Mail’s Katie Hind: ‘Debbie knows what’s best for Liam. She is strict with him. Not only is she his girlfriend but she is his manager so she knows exactly what needs to be done.

‘Unlike his previous girlfriends and wives, he listens to Debbie, he adores her and trusts she knows what she’s doing.’

Meanwhile, another friend of the singer added: ‘You need to be a hell of a strong character to have any sort of hold over him.

‘Loads of people have tried and failed, but he loves her and knows how much of a positive difference she has made to his life.’ Put simply: ‘She doesn’t take any s***.’

Debbie, who comes from a working class background, grew up in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, with a postman father and stay-at-home mother.

She didn’t go to university but instead moved to Dalston, East London, in her late teens to find a job in the music industry.

Debbie, who ran a public relations company, Fear PR, with her sister Katie – who also works in the music business and helps manage Liam’s career – had a reputation as somewhat of a party girl when she emerged on London’s rock ‘n’ roll scene.

The musician himself has credited his fiancée with ‘saving’ him, telling Q: ‘Debbie swooped me up as I was falling. She just said, ‘Stop being a d***head.’

‘She got me out of the house, introduced me to all kinds of people outside my world, got me doing new things. I’ve lived in London a long time, but I only really knew Hampstead.’

He added: ‘She was a breath of fresh air, man. She sorted me right out. Me and her like to do the same things. We like having a laugh. I’ve met my match, I’ve met my soulmate. It’s good because the kids love her, the lads love her.’

Debbie is even said to have achieved the impossible task of negotiating a truce between the Gallagher brothers.

‘Debbie came into the scene after the band had split up, and was a fresh pair of eyes and a cooler head without all the baggage,’ says a source.

‘Debbie blew everyone away. Let’s just say if it wasn’t for her, things would not have gone anywhere near as smoothly as they did in the end. She was determined to get Liam back on stage with his brother.

‘She’s said for years she thinks they should try to patch things up – and she loves Liam’s family, especially his mum, Peggy, and wanted them to smooth things over for her, too. It’s hard to imagine this ever having happened without her. She should work for the UN with those skills.’
