Lionel Messi’s bodyguard, Yassine Cheuko, remains hyped about the potential boxing match against Logan Paul. The duo has engaged in trash talk since the latter called out Messi to fight him in the squared circle. The Inter Miami star ignored the invitation, but Cheuko, who has been protecting him on and off the football pitch over the last few years, publicly expressed his intention to face Paul in an MMA clash.

Last week, Paul shared a training clip on Instagram where he was seen hitting a punching bag and asking “Messi’s bodyguard” to meet him in Puerto Rico. Cheuko appears to have now responded to the video message.

The former US soldier shared an Instagram post, shedding light on his brutal training regime. He was captured honing his boxing skills inside a caged circle. The clip then showed Paul sending a fight invitation to Cheuko.

“He’s an MMA guy who thinks he can box. He thinks he’s entitled to victory or attention because he is Lionel Messi’s bodyguard,” the influencer said in the clip.

Referring to Paul’s claims, Cheuko said, “You said I need attention. You need attention. You start with this, you start to talk about soccer players and make a fight with them. So now we are going to stop talking because I know you are a YouTube product.”

“I come from the streets, I’m a street product, and people on the street don’t talk a lot. So now stop talking. I see you on the ring, man,” he added.

Cheuko is a trained fighter with hands-on experience in several disciplines, including MMA. He has already proven his reflexes and resilience while safeguarding Messi on several occasions.

Meanwhile, the cold war between Messi and Paul started after the Argentine footballer launched his Mas+ energy drink. The influencer alleged that Messi copied the idea of his Prime Hydration brand.

It led both companies to file lawsuits against each other.

Amid the controversy, Paul, while speaking on his YouTube channel, said that he would drop the case against Messi if the footballer accepted his boxing invitation. His approach didn’t go down well with Cheuko, who expressed his desire to step onto the ring instead of Messi.
