Premier League champions Liverpool completed the signing of Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen on Friday.

“I’m really excited to have a new adventure in front of me. This was also a big point of my thoughts: that I want to have something completely new, to go out of the Bundesliga and to join the Premier League,” Wirtz said.
“I spoke also with some players who played there and they told me that it’s perfect for me and every pitch is perfect, you can enjoy every game. I’m really looking forward to playing my first game,” the German added.

Liverpool roped in the full-back Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen in order to replace the departing Trent Alexander-Arnold, who opted to join Spanish giants Real Madrid last week.
Frimpong joined a strong Dutch contingent at Liverpool as he follows the footsteps of Virgil Van Dijk, Cody Gakpo and Ryan Gravenberch at the Merseyside club, helmed by another Dutchman Arne Slot. Frimpong will compete with Conor Bradley for the role of right back at Anfield.
