Alisson is returning to Liverpool for testing after a frightful head clash on Brazil duty.
The shot-stopper was forced off the pitch with a ‘suspected concussion’ following his nasty coming-together with Davinson Sanchez in Brazil’s 2-1 win over Colombia.
It happened after the Brazilian jumped to punch the ball while Sanchez attempted to score with a header, leading to both players ending up falling to the ground and subsequently coming off.Â
Liverpool wrote: ‘Alisson Becker has departed the Brazil national team set-up and will return to Liverpool.Â
‘The goalkeeper was forced off in the second half of his nation’s World Cup qualifier with Colombia in the early hours of Friday following a collision.Â
‘Alisson is travelling back to Merseyside and will undergo assessment from the Reds’ medical staff.’

Both players fell to the ground with Alisson needing medical assistance before he was taken off
Brazil team’s doctor Rodrigo Lasmar gave an update after Alisson appeared visibly concussed and dizzy, requiring receiving medical treatment.
‘(Alisson) Becker suffered a trauma to the head region, he was replaced by a suspected concussion,’ said Lasmar.
‘Now we will do all the CBF protocol, it will undergo recommended imaging tests, a computed tomography, then a resonance with diffusion.
‘If all the tests are normal, we’ll follow up and do a cognitive test. And then we will evaluate the player.
‘In the possibility that everything is normal, we will make a sequence of observations in the coming days. Today, we will do the tests, all the necessary evaluations.
‘Alisson is normal, with no complaints. He reported no fainting and no memory loss. He thought it was a little slower. In this scenario, the recommendation is the replacement of the player.’
Liverpool’s next fixture is on April 2, when they take on Everton in the Merseyside derby.Â
The Reds have an eminent deputy in Caoimhin Kelleher but Arne Slot will be hoping his stars can minimise the injuries as they close in on the Premier League title.Â

Ryan Gravenberch also withdrew from the Netherlands squad following a muscle injury

The Dutchman sustained a muscle problem in the defeat to Newcastle at Wembley last SundayÂ

Furthermore, Ibrahima Konate was forced off at half-time during France’s 2-0 loss to Croatia
Mail Sport reported earlier this week that defensive midfielder Ryan Gravenberch was withdrawn from the Netherlands squad for their Nations League quarter-final against Spain.
The 22-year-old left the camp after sustaining a muscle injury against Newcastle in the 2-1 dismal defeat by Newcastle last Sunday.
Ibrahima Konate is another doubt after France took him off at half-time in their 2-0 loss to Croatia following a knock.Â
Having been knocked out of all cup competitions – the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and the Champions League – Slot’s men return to a schedule of one game per week.
With 70 points – 12 clear at Arsenal – they have just nine games left this season.Â
