It seems as if Logan Paul has made his mind up about his next opponent in the ring. And it is…Lionel Messi?

The YouTuber-turned-pro wrestler has thrown the gauntlet out to the Argentine football legend as a means for the American to drop his lawsuit against Messi’s beverage brand Mas+.

For more context, Logan’s PRIME Hydration has been involved in an impromptu feud over Messi’s energy drink brand, claiming that the latter had copied the packaging for their brand from the former.

PRIME was launched in 2022 in collaboration with KSI and quickly became the official drink of the UFC, while also being lapped up by the Los Angeles Lakers and Dodgers.

Messi’s Mas+, on the other hand, was launched in 2024, and the packaging seemed to have borne a striking resemblance to that of PRIME.

As a result, Logan pressed charges against Messi’s brand, defending his company’s trademark. Funnily enough, Messi’s beverage brand’s distributor sued PRIME back for anti-competitive practices in October 2024, leading to a countersuit from Logan.

The straw that broke Logan’s back was when Messi’s attorneys recently filed yet a legal harassment suit stating Logan’s charges were “designed solely to harass Mr. Messi”.

In a recent video uploaded by Logan on social media, the Youtuber addressed the ongoing feud and the legal harassment charges, saying that he would drop all charges if the Inter Miami star were to face off against him in the ring this year.

“Brother, you copied us. Everyone saw it. They saw what you did. Everyone noticed it and then we got sued. Hold on, wait, what? This ain’t justice. So we countersued, obviously. If you can’t beat the best, you gotta be the best. But that’s illegal. That’s trademark infringement. We’re holding him accountable, and it’s harassment?” Logan stated in his video.

“Hey, hey, all jokes aside, I will consider [dropping lawsuit] if Logan Paul vs Messi 2025. I’ll see you in the ring.”

Whether/How Messi and his attorneys shall respond remains a mystery. But, Logan already has set his sights on a boxing match-up against Irish mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor, after reports of both parties arriving at a preliminary agreement to fight in an exhibition boxing match came out in December 2024.
